Alright, as you can see from the title, we're back to work. Have been quite a while actually. We have been planning to do a grand re-boot for the series, and we need YOU and your help.

The grand reboot is on great progress, but there has been a clash inside the mod's team that needs to be resolved before we can continue to work. With the re-boot we've tried merging the lore with the ImperialGames' mods; Blood & Steel and Imperial Age's lores. But due to complaints of it being too Imperial Age oriented on lore, we've decided for you, the people to decide. You can debate on the subject on here! Updates are going to come in very soon. We have great plans and wish to continue as soon as possible! Have an excellent May and keep playing the mod!

You should focus on a time period end of 19th start of 20th century like the Boers war period, like that you don't need to make vehicules. So for me the lore from Blood&Steel; is more needed.

Just a reminder and confirmation of some things, there are plans for pseudo Chinese, Japanese and American nations with Imperial Age lore.

Balion is the name of North America with us. The only major difference really is the lack of Not Canada, sorry Canadians.

Personally I don't mind, so long as the mod shifts back to a 20's, early 30's feel. It's become very WW2 centric which isn't a bad thing, but i prefer the earlier stuff.
I love the idea of a world where Swadia is rising out of poverty on the back of a new, highly suspect ideology, the Rhodok Republic is practically run by mobs, mafias and street gangs. All the while in the north and east, the Vaegirs and Kergits have entered what seemed to be a golden age of equality, but instead they are in fact being slowly and subtly conquered from within by selfish men with too much power.
That's what i think Red Wars should be. Maybe it's just me but i think it's a brilliant idea.

That's what we aimed to do. Minus the thing about the Khergits. They were already wiped out by 1800 and replaced by the Kessicks, in B&S the Lower Steppes belong to the Vaegirs and Sarranids.

I kinda thought the mods were similar lore anyway O_O

And yeah, being more World War I instead of World War II might be a better idea. Less need to experiment with trying to make vehicles.

Oh! I have a thought. I dont know modding, but I have seen some right impressive scripts like in A Clash of Kings...

Instead of straight out each nation existing in full, why not have them have political civil wars? At least for the ones that could have it

Swadia could have Imperial Loyalists, Communists, and well, Nazis.
Vaegirs could still have White Vaegir forces to worry about, and Anarchists

Balion might could have a Confederated States of Balion revival :P

You could choose an idealogy to back and then take over the nation, which would create new lords, or change them. Give them new titles and uniforms and such

Diplomacy could be set up that no unified nations could attack the political groups until an idealogy takes over.

Various other factions could have a rebel or splinter faction too that appears in certain circumstances. Triggered by a quest or defeat or something

Would be super epic in a Post-WW1 setting!

It would be cool if you included japan china etc as well. Connecting lore would be COOL, but honestly for this mod, not the most important thing atm I think. I think honestly, bug fixes, diplomacy, key essential mods that all mods have and fixing scences and unit skills (such as many units skills having 0 in firearms, etc). THEN I think lore could be worked out. I would just focus on getting the mod stable with the core features.

I prefer an independent lore, especially with those new factions you were planning, but I could live with a merge (no big deal). If you do merge, I'd prefer it if you kept the Red Khergits though.

I love this idea, but is it really taking this long to merge the lore and get the files, or is this mod pretty much dead?

(I know it's a copy of that guest, I forget to log in XD)
