it looked more of a confederacy uniform than russian ,since russian uniforms were somewhat green/yellowish
and this uniform looks like it's gray
just my opinion
Looks more like a 1900 - 1910 American infantry uniform with a cavalry hat, but instead of beige, it's a green-ish grey.
well, reasonable or not, i used the standart green tone for american tanks in ww2 for the balion uniforms =)
