I’ll start with the bad news, the Great War Mod version VI will be delayed. We were originally hoping to release the new version at the end of this month but it doesnt look like that is going to be possible for a number of reasons.
There are 2 main reasons for the delay. The first reason is due to IRL issues going on right now in my life. I wont go into details but the result is I am moving for the second time in 3 months. Due to this and the holidays my free time to work on the mod has gone down to almost zero. I’m still finding time here and there to get some things done but its not been nearly enough to complete the update by 12/31.
Also the main part of the update, the new uniforms and unit cards and info cards remain unfinished, with Russia, Italy and Spain still needing to be completed.
The final beta test has also not gone as smoothly as was expected. This is mostly due to slow or no responses from testers, having said that there have been a couple testers who have been extremely responsive and very helpful with the testing. It hasnt been very long since I sent out all the beta testing links so we may get more responses soon but we wont have enough time to fix all the bugs before the end of the month due to the issues mentioned previously.
The Good News
I finally have full admin access to the main mod account! I was contacted by Seamus.Editor the editor in chief of ModDB and after some explanation of the situation he has granted me access to post files and images now.
Now that I have full access I will be posting the official 5.1.5 update here on the main page instead of on that alternate page I made. This also means I can post images of new content on the image page instead of posting them as an article. So this means that there will be a steady stream of new images showing new content instead of just an article now and then.
Also once I get settled into my new place and the holidays pass I will have more time than before to work on the mod.
I have also reached out to some Youtubers to see if they would like to make some preview videos of the new update so hopefully we will have some awesome new videos soon.
The new release date will most likely be the end of February, which should give us enough time to get all the new uniforms finished as well as a bunch of other new content that has been added recently.

I rather have a good mod that would take a year than a fast bad mod, best of luck and P.S. to the testers if you can't respond properly and only want to play the beta version...give the chance to the good people that atleast respond well.
Absolutely despicable about those testers that gave little or no feedback, just to play the mod early.

It is expected a significant update in the near future but it is currently playable and a favorite of many a WWI fan. You can find the download for it under "Files"
Thnx Bud, I am a confused with the various files listed so I think I will wait until the new update drops. Are you aware of any youtube stuff featuring this mod? I would like to get a closer look at it.

On his channel (TSJ) you will also find an installation tutorial, etc. Once you figure out, where the files need to be placed, adding the 5.1.5 patch should not be difficult for you either. The launcher will only work, if Napoleon Total War is installed on your C: drive. If it is not, there is a chance you might have to copy&paste; the files manually. I am not involved with modding, but I left a summary of the basic files (without extras) in the comments section of the main thread for the "many" few people unable to get the launcher to work anyways.
