We as a team have decided that after a long stay on Twcenter.net and as we are now moving on to releasing Version 5.0 of the mod, the version where we will come out of Beta stage, that we'd like somewhere as a fresh new area to promote the mod.
We've had many buggy and horrible Beta releases of the mod, mainly because most of the team were and are still learning how to mod the NTW Warscape engine to its full extent.
We are quite frankly happy to leave behind the Beta mess that was/is the current and previous versions. It sucks when the thing you work hard on doesn't work for people, and its partly out of this dislike for our current and past mod versions that I think we are all happy to see a new area, perhaps and hopefuly new faces, and finally a time we all thought we'd never see, a release of the mod we always planned, always wanted to make, and have sadly not been able to fully complete until now... Version 5.0 of The Great War Mod.
So, 'Welcome' to any new followers of the mod, 'Welcome back' to all you guys who'v stuck with us from the start, or just plain old "Oh god not you again" to the people I'm just sick of seeing (Just kidding).
Expect alot of news, previews and general new stuff about 5.0 very soon.
Cheers!
~ TGW Team
When is version 5.0 going to be released?
We have worked on deadlines before, but the yielded results were often not satisficial due to time restraints, so we have decided to release the 5.0 mod version whenever it's done.
That said, there is a ton of work done - as well as not done - for the 5.0 version, and at this point we cannot yet place any release estimate.
On August 10th of 2013 :)
i have 2 questions...
1.if anyone know that to play that mod i must have the original game??
2.is it posibe for NTW engine to be playeble real iron ships of the ww1 ???
In answer to questions:
1. Yes as a mod can only change the game mechanics of an already released game. Making your own game is extremely time consuming.
2. Unfortunately due to game machanics the ships from the vanilla total war have had to be used with just some of the features.
