We have reached a tipping point in the new update where it has gotten so big and has so many changes and new content that we felt calling it 5.2 doesnt do it justice. Therefore we have decided to call the new update The Great War VI.
We are still some months off from release but I just wanted to let everyone know we are still working diligently on the update and that theres so much new content and bug fixes to the point where it truly feels like a new game.

Yes! Glory Hallelujah! Please actually release the update though. Some say they are on the verge of an update and are never heard from again, I'm not accusing, merely worried and excited.
It has reached the point where it is "too big to fail". We've put too much work into it to let it fail and never be released.
This might just be the most massive mod revival in history of Total War modding! Bring it on, gentlemen.

Lots of bug fixes, a totally overhauled startpos, new tanks, all new uniforms and equipment for all major factions, new campaign map models etc...

Is it possible to make auto resolve battles not that decisive to make the frontline move slower which would fit ww1?
The auto resolve has been toned down in the new update as well as reducing the movement of units making the AI better able to deal with defense and counter attacks.

Guys, do not waste the gift of time to make your magnificent feat, but make a parallel alternative version of World War I on the engine Warhammer 2 tanks, infantry, artillery, and palaces, airships and airplanes to the steam engine !!!
(That is steampunk and dieselpunk version as an experimental alternative (for example, according to the analogue of Scott Westerfeld's "Leviathan"). This is not only interesting, but also frees many opportunities and prospects for freedom.):))
Hah! The Leviathan series is one of my favorite series of all time. Ive read all three books like three times. That would be a cool mod but it would take a ton of time to make.
Yes, these wonderful books are unforgettable. Recently I discovered even more realistic historical novels by John Biggins "Under the flank of the Habsburg empire" and continued. This is an extremely fascinating work on the theme of the Great War. Ah, last night, in the evening, I remembered that game developers limited the addition of new models to Warhammer, only new textures are allowed. But this will not continue in the evening, and we will wait for new opportunities.
I looked up John Biggins and his work sounds really interesting. I didnt find the book you mention but his book A Sailor of Austria looks pretty good. I'll have to give it a read. Thanks!

Yes, several new units. No new playable factions but several new emergent factions like Poland, Lithuania, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, etc...
I think warsaw should be given to the russians. not only is it historically correct but would also encourage the russian ai to actually do smth in the early game. the balance can still be kept by giving the germans more troops in the east. the weird border doesnt really bother me tbh.

Please,correct athenic naming of spain. Its "reclutas",not "reluctas",its obús ligero,not Obús luz. Its Alfonso XIII not Carlos XIII.but yet,preaty neat to hear from you,guys. Ps. "Civil guard" in spain should be "Guardia Civil",not "reclutas".
