"Your name is Evan Sanders, a hard working average citizen. Your very old grandfather Abraham Sanders, who lived all alone in Ottenheim Mansion in the outskirts of Gatlin, recently died. Since he didn't like people for some reason, he had very few visitors.
Because people rarely visited him, no one knew what he was up to. Due to a heart disease, they sent a nurse to check on him once every week. During the recent visit, however, he was found dead.
The cause of his death is still unknown, but in his will he mentioned that he would give you Ottenheim Mansion. Nothing seemed strange there, but they found a note in your grandfather's hands. The only thing that was writen was "Grey Grey Grey Grey Grey Grey".
The will also mentioned a strange door with the roman symbol 4 next to it which he said was dangerous. Can this have something to do with his death? Or was his death just an accident?
The story begins a few weeks after you had settled down in the mansion."
This is the background story of the custom story. Every note in the game should be read, even the big ones with huge amount of text. Reading all the notes will give you a better understanding of the game. You MUST have Justine for this cs, because otherwise you will have trouble locating the "mysterious door" and other things will seem strange.

2 Different endings ( good and bad with "consequences" )
Because my mic is bad and I have to edit the files to remove most of the noise, the voice acting may be a little low. BUT FEAR NOT MY BROTHERS! I've added text on the screen when I do voice acting so you should be able to understand. Also, please do not mind my swedish accent :D
A little thing I want to say is that the "horrific stuff", the "story" and such will begin when you reach the first dream sequence. So don't expect to be horrified before you reach the first dream sequence. Everything before the dream sequence is just so you can get a look around the place. Just a little information I wanted to mention.
Yo and welcome to another part of my dev diaries!
Since I got plenty of spare time today, I decided to work on The Forgotten Door. The cellar is almost completely done now. Only one room needs to be mapped and the scripting is more or less done. Changes might be made in the future, but that remains to be seen.
The Forgotten Door will be split up in 4 different parts. DON'T WORRY! I will not split up the custom story in different mods (like Silent Hallways). It will be one large mod, not several. What I mean is that the story will be split up in 4 different "settings". The first one (where everything starts) doesn't really have a name, but we can call it "The Beginning".
The Beginning won't scare you, that part will let you walk around the mansion real quick. The next part is called "Creeping Dark".
Creeping Dark begins when you hit the first dream. This is where the creepy stuff starts and the game will take you a little deeper into the story, you will also learn a little of what your grandfather was doing before he died. The third part will perhaps be called "Shadow Rising".
Shadow Rising may not be the final name since I haven't gotten this far yet, but Shadow Rising will take you even deeper into the story, find out more of what your grandfather was trying to do, the history of the mansion and the increasing attacks from the monsters that will try to stop you. The final part will be called "The End".
I'm sure you can guess what The End will be about. This is the part where you are closing in on the answers you seek, and eventually, finish the custom story. However, you (the player) will choose what the ending will be. I will not write anything about the 2 endings, I will only say that there will be one good and one bad ending.
