This map started out as a test for me, and as a map for two of my friends to play. There's a lot of focus on details in the map, such as a lot of props and such. I hope you'll enjoy this CS, and please give some feedback or share your thoughts. Note: There was a bug in the study quarters with one of the checkpoints not working properly. This should now be fixed. If there is anything else, please let me know. I had previously uploaded this under "addons", however now it's in the proper section.

What can I say? I was surprised how decent this was. Really good mapping and use of lightning with making atmosphere really terrifying and no sound monsters is really frightening.

Maps are really decent and you really put effort on it, scares was really good executed no cheapscares here yey! :3

Puzzles were good, not too hard, story is pretty average, but make's sense and I enjoyed it as well.

Only what is bugging me there are too many mansion areas and that name title is way overused. Change that please :)

I see you really have potential to make decent mods and you will spent time with them. Really good job on this one!

What you make in your next custom story:

- More unique areas / rooms
- Maybe a little longer too
- Using more imagination make epic script sequences and all that never seened stuff.

If you can make these to happen I can give you even highter rate, but my rate is still decent eight. Thanks for making this, I'm satisfied :P

Well done!

Verdict 8: Decent

Very artistic and so very scary..

9 cause of logs!

The mapping is quite nice but there are a bunch of things that you could have done better:

--> The "Hide in the closet then get scared" scare is so overused that I saw it coming miles away. I didn't even went to the closet and hide behind the chair where the servant was (he disappears after the suitor spawns) and I could hear that iron maiden scream when the suitor went close to it. Nice try...

--> The no-sound monsters have a few flaws: you can hear they rambling while they walk around ("I can't believe! this is what it feels like") and you can hear them when they spawn. Have you played a CS called "the brotherhood"? I suggest you play that one has it has some of the best "no-sound" monsters ever. You pick a item and a door faraway gets busted, meaning something is nearby and you don't hear ANYTHING at all other than the monster's steps.

--> Plenty of doors have no names at all. When you go through the double door into the next map there are 4 doors and only one of them has a name (Attic).

(btw, nice touch with the piano having a sheet-holder. I liked that minor detail)

--> The place is very big, full of rooms and what not but I found no oil whatsoever. Spreading more oil AND giving some hints about what the player must do would be very appreciated.

If you can fix those, them I can give your CS another try.

Also, this is not about your CS but the highest rated review is somewhat misleading as it says that there are no cheapscares in the CS. That is FALSE. Unless a teleporting flying grunt being thrown at your face fits another criteria, that is exactly what a cheapscare is all about: a scare with no logic within the CS's lore at all, only done to scare the player in a easy way, hence the term "cheapscare"

Amazing Custom Story. Really enjoyed playing this!

Phew, that was intense. The monster sections were certainly very eventful and adrenaline inducing, good bit of exploring to be had, overall very good custom story, honestly there was nothing wrong with it, the ending was a bit random, almost as if the author decided that they had enough and just ended it abruptly somewhat. But yeah, great custom story, worth a play, nothing amazing, but it's a quality custom story nontheless.

Not a lot to say here to be honest... It was a good first custom story for you. It was laggy in places but smooth in others and with one or two changes you're going to make a very good custom story maker.

One or two points for future reference however, first the door when you have to escape the watery part when you die should open out instead of in as it's quite difficult to do when being chased and perhaps a little more focus on a story would be better suited... Other than that everything was good, nice mapping, no overuse of jumpscares and nice oil placements (always seem to be in the rooms when you need them)

Overall make one or two changes and you'll go far... looking forward to your next custom story :)

You have amazing level designing skills I really liked it, and I liked that you used the Malo suitor all the time, but I hated the part where I had to escape from Alois, cuz suitors are fast kill you in one hit, I just hate that.

I would just like to say that without a doubt i see you have alot of potential when it come's to making future mods. Unlike some reviews, which criticize your "Storyline" i played the game right to the end and read the credits, in which you highlighted this was your first CS and it wasn't really story driven.

The things i liked:

- Monster scares were quite good.
- Glad you didn't use the Brute at all (It terrifies me).
- The map/areas were pretty large and i enjoyed traversing through them.
- The fact the monster doesn't go away = perfect. I really find it hard to get scared of Amnesia that much these days, especially since the monsters disappear after a set time of patrolling.

Things to improve on:

- I didn't base my rating on this, but as i've already said "Storyline".
- I would have liked it to be longer, but as this is your first project and you show the potential to really make mods well in the future, i was happy with it's length generally.
- The monster 'speaking' and noises somewhat gave away it's position. Footsteps only really does add to the drama.
- I also felt a few extra scares or perhaps more added suspension before the monster encounters (which were quite regular) would have helped to make that "Scare factor" even higher.

Overall i enjoyed your mod, and for this month it was definitely my favorite. Good job, and keep up the good work!

There is practically no story! Just running around for no apparent reason. Who's escaping? Why? I didn't like that there was only one villain either, and that he never went away. It was fairly scary without relying too much on jumps scares, so if the goal of the creator was to figure out how to use the tools at their disposal, then this succeeded. But I never knew what was going on, and that matters a great deal. The ending (was there one?) was super-anticlimactic too. Everything felt arbitrary. So the hammar can't break the lock, but the bone saw can? Bleh. Where is this even taking place? In the largest house in the world? Why does the door open at the end? What does the last key do? Way too many keys and predictable monster appearances after you get them. Still, the lighting and like I said the scares were at least there.

It has several nice areas, with a bit lower detail, but never mind. Anyway there are too many suitors in this CS and that's why I give you 6. (I'd have given 7 if there hadn't been so many of them). Other things were still good for me.
