The Eridanus Insurrection is an Arma 3 Halo-based mod focused on the civil war between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Insurrectionists, various groups of rebel factions amongst the outer human colonies. This mod will include multiple factions, a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, and a custom made terrain (map) for you to play with. Now strap in and prepare to drop into Altis.

i cant wait for this, i just hop it docent take a tank to kill Spartans, last halo mod i saw (arma 2) it was just Spartanse you could shoot all day and wouldn't die
there will be no spartans, how about that? ;) we are focusing on the common soldier versus a human enemy. basically everything the original halo series does not address, we are addressing with our own twist.
Yes! Finally a game in the halo universe with the backbone being about the common grunt! Also love the fact the mod is about the Insurrection instead of the Covenant.
Well if you did include spartans, at this point in time besides the training they went through IIRC they hadn't yet received the augmentations or the Mjolnir armor. So technically besides having extensive skills at killing people the spartans wouldn't be all that much tougher to kill than normal people, assuming you put your rounds on the target.....
Around the time the mod is set, SPARTAN-IIs would just about be in action.
This is the only Arma 3 mod that is cool that is coming out,Nice Marines hopeing to see some in-game photos of UNSC O.D.S.T and army troopers :)

will the helmets be able to shade by a command or will there be a shaded variant for looks but no affect your vision? if no to both of those could you developers think of this idea.
There are variants with out the visor so you aren't stuck with only this helmet if you don't want it. And the odsts will have the option to retract it as seen in Halo ODST.
i was talking about the ability to shade the visor into something like a sunglasses tint to hide your face. So my concept was to be able to retract the visor AND be able to shade it into a darker tint to hide your face, as many of the odsts have shaded visors so you can't see their faces
Well, for the Marines no. However the glass on the helmet will get less transparent and darker so it will be harder to see the face if that helps at all.

Well, I think you guys just managed to convince me to invest in ARMA3, I was a pretty big fan of the books especially the one that covered the SGT fighting the rebels at the start. Being an Army Reservist I also like how they aren't all Marines in this mod haha! Saw something that said UNSC Army/Marines pretty neat. Great work on things so far cant wait to get the game to see the final product! Oh, also what sort of environments can we expect to see? Not sure if this was asked under a different string... if so sorry for repeating just curious. Finally when will there be some gameplay that can shine some light on this mod! Thanks guys, this is the HALO game I always wanted to play! sorry for the long *** message! Haha keep it up!
