The Eridanus Insurrection is an Arma 3 Halo-based mod focused on the civil war between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Insurrectionists, various groups of rebel factions amongst the outer human colonies. This mod will include multiple factions, a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, and a custom made terrain (map) for you to play with. Now strap in and prepare to drop into Altis.
Using mostly vanilla assets, here is one of the first pictures of the Insurrectionists.

Much change indeed. I've read only one book, but weren't the Innies largely without armour - wearing just plain civilian clothes most of the time?
actually these are based off of research. we are going to implement 3 different groups of innies. the first is this one, sort of the elite. better trained, better equipped soldiers. their gear is stolen from raids conducted on UNSC and they are a fair match against UNSC. you will occasionally encounter these guys, but when you do, you will know. the second group is what you are describing, the guys in civis with UNSC weapons only. you will encounter these guys for the most part. the third group is a "boarding" group. these guys conduct raids on UNSC and civilian vessels. these are just guys in blue jump suits with UNSC weapons. probably wont see too much of these guys just yet.
all these groups are based off of vague information we were able to acquire through hours of research. so that being said, no, not much change is needed ;)
Oh no, don't get the impression that all the Innies will be wearing thick UNSC armor.
Most will just have ammo bearing vests with little to no armor protection. But you are right about them mostly wearing civilian-ish clothing. These types of Insurrectionists will be represented by the Eridanus Rebel sub-catergory.
I three questions, One of them that I can hopefully get an answer.
1# For the Battle Rifle, and Assault Rifle. Will they have working Ammo counters? This is just a question, really, if the Ammo counters didn't work. I'd be just as happy that the Ammo counter Textures don't look horrid. Which greatfully, they do not.
2# Will you be adding A DMR? And/Or a M7 caseless 4.6mm SMG?
3# This is the last, most important question. Will there be ship-to-ship combat scenarios? And/Or will these Ships be available Via Arma 3 Zeus?

I thought it would be cool to take control of a U.N.S.C Lite Frigate, and take the battle to a Insurgent fleet, and/or will these ships, be available to spawn, in Arma 3 zeus, and the Map editor?
I agree, and it would be interesting to have space combat of some type but it is very unlikely to happen, for numerous reasons: including too much effort for little results, and also lore issues. Really, the Insurrectionists never had a really good fleet. Yes, they had some ships mostly stolen from the UNSC which we could use.
So for the meantime, no we will probably not have ship vs ship combat but that may change in the course of development as we explore the idea further. However, having the UNSC Frigate flyable is something that we CAN do and might do. Very similarly to the Lost Dragons mod which has very large ships flyable via a helicopter flight model.
But yes, you will be able to spawn the frigate via the editor but I'm not sure about Zeus we'll have to test it first. I will confirm here though that the units do work out of the box with Zeus.
Well, really, I was looking at actual operational ships, as a side thing, that would be cool.
But, I'm really happy that we will be able to have ship objects to use. One last thing, will we be getting a Scorpion, and will we be getting the ability to carry cargo with the Pelican? Like Hogs, etc.?

Will this still support uniform customization? Similar to vanilla ARMA3? like head gear swapping and vest/armor and so forth?
