Year 2552. The Earth is no longer habitable since year 2401 due to the atmosphere collapse and temperature rise in planet Earth. Human race has been forced to live in the different colonized planets into the Solar System. This was called "The Second Exodus".
After the "Enceladus Atmosphere Implementation Program" (EAIP) succeeded in year 2295, Saturn's moon ENCELADUS turned into the most important human colony into the Solar System altogether with Titan's.
Even though the extreme cold conditions are still uncontrollable in a 40% of Enceladus, there's liquid water produced during the EAIP in a almost a 35% of its surface, enabling the proper ecosystem for human being subsistence and many other life forms...
Due to its perfect gravity conditions (very similar to the Earth's) after the EAIP, ENCELADUS colony became a planet of interest to Aperture Laboratories to develop its more ambitious testing program, The Enceladus Initiative.
The Enceladus Initiative welcomes you test subjects! OK, due to the delay in my progress plus the TWP contest, I'll release a demo so you can all test a little piece of the cake!!
Yeah guys! Due to some petitions by some friends and also because I firstly announced that I could have the mod ready by July and I won't be able to accomplish with the plan, I decided to release a demo with all the mod's custom content plus 1 (or maybe 2) map! I sincerely hope that you appreciate such these good news, download it, have a nice challenge time, and maybe even record a video solution to it!
I must warn you all though that this release will be my map nº 5... which is not easy; it isn't either recommended to be played with a controller! (although I've seen ppl very good at playing with one of those! :D)
So I'll try to release it on this week (mainly in deference to my friend Xtreger)... but due to the running TWP super contest (in which I'd like to enter), I'm reaaaally busy atm.
Anyway, guys, stay tuned! I leave a cover for the event:
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like The Enceladus Initiative. We love games like Portal 2 that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
