Epicness does not even begin to describe this shot. The atmosphere, the architecture, the lighting, the blood, decals, textures. It's unbe-FRIGGIN-lievable.

Why not making that blue light into a high-quality model?

Bacause that would then mean using the light entity which is horrible and unnatural looking. That blue light texture casts it's own light.

Yeah, I'm not sure a blue light model would add enough to this scene to justify either using a separate light entity or the more convoluted way of creating an invisible brush which casts the blue textlight. Either way, using models as light fixtures in Goldsource is always dodgy because models don't cast shadows, which is especially noticeable on things which emit light. I appreciate the comment, though!

Description

I wanted to show a lot more of this area off, but other screenshots show some pretty extreme spoilers, so I decided against it. Also included is a higher res version of one of the many posters from around the Black Mesa Admin Building.
