The Core is a total conversion single-player mod for Half-Life. Survive the disaster as Maurice Andrews, a low level engineer stationed in Black Mesa during the events of the resonance cascade. Seemingly trapped, Andrews must fight his way to the surface to survive.

Looks really nice! I think the sprite used for the light is a bit bright though... doesn't really suit the ambiance with the rest of the room. Keep up the good work though! Looking forward to playing this bad-*** game (not considered a mod to me...)!

I couldn't help but notice that you're still using my old couch model edit! Lemme point you in the right direction for the new and tasty one ->

Yeah... I realise that now. I'm sure I've GOT the new model... must've forgotten to actually add it to The Core.

Cheers for the reminder. :P

Looks cool! Also agree with the sprite comments but I'd also like to point out the light behind the computer screen. If this is generated because you used a point light in front of the screen and it radiates through the monitor, I'd advise you to use a texlight the next time.

It's a separate light on the fuse box. Everything here is using textlights. I might just remove it, or make it less intense.

So far, this has turned out to be one of the most promising HL1 mods. Keep up the good work!

It's so hard to believe this has been in dev since at least 2008. I was still in school then...

I don't find it that hard to believe. Then again, I was there when it started.

I'm working on different chapters of the mod each day and it's really refreshing. This one mysterious map in particular is a real breath of fresh air... in some ways, literally.

As always, your feedback is appreciated.
