This is,,in effect,,truly the best mod in the world. It is also EXTREMELY SCARY.
I can't even begin to express how much joy this mod has given me. I have been craving something like this ever since I knew editing wolf3d was possible, and 10 years, no one has ever managed to deliver something to a level of creativeness, subtle depth, humour, and engeniousness that you have done here. This is like a modern day Chokage, with a slew of sweet editing enhancements (music, non-gameplay pictures, ending messages) added to the pile of crazyness. While everyone else is focusing on unoriginal, realistic, historically accurate WWII stories or basing addons on movies and other games; you do what I like to play best. Something colourful, modest, unpredictable, with some kind of unique personal flavour that people can open up to. If I could describe where I feel The Best Mod of The World stands, you would definately be my successor of the 21st century.
There is too many innovative things here to mention. The faq rocks my *** off, the cryptomatic menu/game writing really adds some element of mystery, and the extremely varied status bar always keeps things interesting (I love how the gun photos carry totally unrelated pictures; like the village with houses - not to mention all the different BJ pictures). Running around finding dying dogs trying to take cheap shots at you was the icing on the cake, and you really got me confused with that "making you look around every time you open a door" trick. Having three different platforms to experience the game in is another very sweet reason to play the game even more; they all go really well with the insanity of the set. So far, I only beat one Episode, and I couldn't believe how masterfully executed the endgame message was; better than anything I could have ever imagined (not only the content, but also how you slimed my only means of knowing how much more crazyness to expect). Alot of clever ideas hiding in here; I can't wait to uncover more!!! :)
