"Make Peace or Die" “Talon 1-5” is a story-driven single-player and co-op mod that aims to combine realism and combat tactics with a science-fiction environment. It will put players into a war to end all wars where they will have to think in order to survive. Taking inspiration from history as well as imagination, we will strive to tell a story about the infantrymen and women of the early 22nd century and how they must persevere for survival and victory like all the Marines who preceded them. The story centers around an 12-man special forces squad, codenamed “Talon” attached to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment of the United States Marine Corps. this is scarily realistic! damn that uncanny valley!
special thanks to ZBrush 3 on the new heads hehe
Z3 is still a bit buggy, but man oh man... can it ever get some nice SSS type appearance going.
And of course, props to Rey for all these beautiful models... you'll be seeing more models from me as well (Rey has taught me the magic behind Zbrush)
It's only a Z-Brush render, isn't it? Look alot better than ingame models these guys. I just wonder how they look ingame - have you tried putting them in BlitzED already? I'm really curious how your magnificent look will translate into the later game and I will be really dissappointed if it doesn't look as good as the renders! All the renders so far however are of amazing quality.
Good news is we have tested it using our modeling programs (such as 3D Max and Maya) and they are looking quite good. We are in the process of actually get the real time heads into RoboBltiz so we can see them with all the nice effects etc. and see how the Unreal 3 engine SHOULD handle the characters.
just a question how many polygons is the head, excluding the bumpmap.
