June 10, 2006 -- Game Overdrive is proud to announce the creation of Overdrive Games, Game Overdrive's game development and publishing studio. Overdrive Games is dedicated to providing quality and innovative games to the gaming community, focusing on creating new genres and working with the cutting edge of technology.
Overdrive Games' first project is "Tales of Fyrndell" (working title), a fantasy/medieval First-Person Real Time Strategy game. Set in the warring land of Fyrndell, two kingdoms are deadlocked in a war which has claimed many lives. As the enemy breaches your capital city, you must force them back and attempt to regain control of your nativeland, one village at a time. But a deadly secret will be discovered in your conquest, and your actions determine the future of not only your kingdom, but the entire land of Fyrndell.
Tales of Fyrndell will be starting as a mod/tech demo until sufficient corporate attention is collected. In order to pursue these goals, Overdrive Games is recruiting for all game development positions. There will be no pay until corporate attention is garnered.
