Galactopticon is a single-player sci-fi comedy FPS starring a gang of hard-boiled interstellar pirates. The epic storyline will be supported by gameplay elements such as ironsight aiming and an RPG-style branching dialogue system.
it's just a stupid trend, like achievements or exp in onlineshooters
people blamed the latest avp game heavily for not using ironsights, although I think that they would be completely useless in the game, they blamed the game for that only cause other today shooters have it too...
I'm the guy who pushed for ironsights, and for two reasons:
1. The vast majority of ironsights have been in real-life military shooters. I thought the juxtaposition of ironsighted aiming with goofy sci-fi weaponry and characters would be unusual and memorable.
2. The hero, John Solomon, isn't supposed to be an unstoppable superhuman killing machine, like Gordon Freeman or Commander Shepard or whatever shooter hero you want to name. He doesn't fire from the hip. He doesn't wear a robosuit or have a personal shield. His firefights are short, small-scale, and brutal, not prolonged Quake matches. Ironsights are just in his character.
Nice, I like it =D
Why does it seem that every shooter mod must have ironsights now?
More specifically; why realism in a parody mod?
ironsights are fun,
more importantly though alot of people like them and if you dont like them just dont use them
using ironsight is actually harder than using a cross hair because more percentage of your screen is covered by a model
because without them we'd just be half-life 2 in space

Usually ironsights gives horribly more accurate fire at expense of mobility and visibility. But the increased accuracy is usually totally worth it.
Pretty good :) And ironsights dont always add "realism", theyre just something to make the game a bit more fun.
That's a decent ironsight
I like it.
Can you stop taking pictures of the gun when it is shooting
yeah, give this guy time to get in front first

The gun never stops shooting. Never.
