Thought it was about time to bring a new update for this mod :D

Mostly bugfixes and small improvements, but I still have some ideas for future updates. In my opinion this is definetly the best version of the mod though.

Hello,can you improve graphic like a RE-mod?

The projectiles were completely overhauled and by rescaling the units many of them look less pixelated now. I won't update the unit models/textures though.

Please keep in mind that I don't have professional modelling/texturing skills and therefore can't overhaul the units to the degree the creator of Empire at War - Re did.

Good gameplay is timeless and that's the main reason I focus on this aspect of the game.

Question: will this work with my old Galactic Conquest saves? I know of a few mods where that hasn't been the case.

It will work if you weren't using mods on these playthroughs. Please be aware that if you use a mod, save and then decide to play this savegame without a mod again the game will crash.

After playing a bit, I have some feedback.

If you build both of the Orbital Construction Docks, at least as the Rebels, you'll end up with too many units on the unit bar. This makes it so that I can't build everything because some of the units are outside of the UI.

Maybe you could add so the player can demolish Constructions Docks for something like 1 credit, or move the units they give to the lower row.

The only solution for now is building only one construction dock unfortunately :/

I don't want to move the units to the lower row because it might even get more confusing when mixed up with buildings. There actually is a mod that adds a third row, but for my taste it's too much interface then.

Well that's quite some exceptional error you encountered there ;)

1. When does this error message occur?
2. Have you correctly installed/started the mod? (Copied "Mod" folder and batch file to SWFOC directory, started by double-clicking the batch file)

Yes... and it occurs on launch, while the splash screen is up.

Also, I have the Steam install.

Have you installed any other mod previously? If so please uninstall the game an make a clean install (even if you don't have other mods it might be a good idea).

For me everything works fine, make sure that you have a clean game install before installing my mod and that you start via the batch file.

Hi. I recently tried out your mod, and it is very impressive. However, my question is of another sort: On the Galactic Conquest map aptly named "Galactic Conquest", if you're playing as the Empire the planet Mon Calamari is made of grids; it has not been unlocked yet. Usually you have to conquer the nearest planet for it to become available. However, I've captured every planet on the map (Tech level 5, recieved the Death Star) and yet it has not unlocked.

Basically I can never win the game.

Any thoughts on the problem?

Sincerely,

A concerned Imperial Commander.

I have looked into the issue you've described and somehow the planets Bonadan and Mon Calamari are bugged - I have no clue why but it's probably caused by some change made by FoC.

I have deactivated said planets (update 1.4.2) until I find a fix for this.

This is the best mod I have found for this game! I like the fact that you kept it true to the original game!!

It is awesome to have the SSD in space skirmish mode. Is it possible to make the SSD more spectacular? I know that you are trying to balance all the units but to me at least it feels like the SSD is lacking in firepower.

Would you ever increase the space unit cap for skirmish? I love the empire but with the space unit cap set to 30 and 40 for the other factions, I feel so restricted trying to build my fleet.

Other then that AWESOME mod! I cannot wait for any future updates to this mod!

Thanks a lot for your feedback, I agree with you that bigger space battles would be more epic, but you have to consider that for more than 40 units most of the existing maps are too small. Right now the Empire can call in 2 SSDs and still has 6 population left. Give the rebel scum a chance ;)

Concerning the power of SSDs: When playing with friends the SSD often decides the game. It's not only the firepower, the SSD has superior view/fire range and nearly unlimited squadrons. Try defeating a SSD with 3 Mon Calimari - Impossible!

There is something special about destroying the rebel scum :) Thank you for your response! That makes sense about the SSD and how it is a game changer when you use it.

I know that you get asked this alot but when is the next update coming out???

Keep up the good work!

Hello. Very excited to (hopefully) be playing this mod soon.

Having issues with getting it to run. I am using GOG. I have copied the files as per the install instructions to the letter, but when I run the batch file (as admin or otherwise) it immediately closes. When I launch the game (via the default icon) it launches fine, but without the mod.

Suggestions?

Nevermind, I figured it out!

For GOG users:
1) Find your install directory for Star Wars - Empire at War (Gold)
2) Locate the subdirectoy EAWX
3) Create a new folder called Mods
4) Copy this mod's information folder into that directory, and the batch file to the EAWX directory.
5) ????
6) Profit

I don't have the the steam version unfortunately, so I can only guess whats the problem.

Have you edited the launch options correctly? If it only starts vanilla, you probably have an issue there.
