Star Wars Conquest is a Mount&Blade; module which transforms a medieval world into the far, far away galaxy... with the same premises than the original game, this module offers an open sandbox where the player can do anything he wants. Based on a Galactic map and hundreds of planets.

Lately the team has been working hard on SWC in order to bring the Star Wars universe to total life with Galaxy in Conflict. I'm not going to add any media on this post cause I wouldn't like to spoil the many cool surprises we have, but wanted to express how great the next version is gonna be.

As many might know Galaxy in Conflict will put an end to SWC's development on the original Mount and Blade. With lot of both little and big additions, among with bugfixies and, at last, a fully unique galaxy. Every planet will be different, with really cool battlegrounds and arenas. Even the old planets taken as 'done' have been enhanced.

A total overhaul of weapons will make you really want to taste each one of them, and thanks to the now 'non-10-shot-cardridges' the player will find himself much more confortable as commando or bountyhunter. A good number of details including a revision of the sounds used by weapons, a better game interface... I'll repeat, a nice lot of surprises will make appearance, and you'll find it almost impossible to get bored in a world like the one we are making.

So, summarizing, I encourage you to wait a little more for the best Star Wars mod ever! Coming soon...

What do you mean by the 'non-10-shot-cardridges'?

In all the previous versions we've released both guns and rifles had between 8 to 18 shots per cartridge. You had to reload constantly. But now we gave weapons the amount of shots that Star Wars canon says they have. So for example I think the E-11 now has around 100 shots per cartridge, and the wookiee bowcaster has 25. The only ones having a few shots per reload are a pair of crap guns and the DLT-19 sniper rifle.

The damage, fire rate, accuracy, abundance and price has been changed as well, in order to show the true differences between weapons and make it just like in the SW universe. The DLT-19 sniper rifle has the higher damage of them all, and the best accuracy. Its fire rate is medium and only has 6 shots per reload.

Lets see for example how we changed weapons to follow canon. Take the Westar-34 for example. I knew it was a very strange gun, in fact it was ordered by Jango Fett alone. So the westar's abundance dropped, and the price went higher than any other pistol. After seeing the movie (Episode II) we could see that he fired very quickly and that each blast was tremendously powerful (it really damaged the floor with a good explosion). So we made it one of the pistols with higher damage of all, and gave it the best fire rate for pistols. In order to see the amount of shots it had per cartridge we went to wookieepedia, where we could see it was 20. And with all that we also gave it his very own sound. So basicly, now... that weapon is perfect.

Okay, good job. Also, are you adding special firing modes to any weapons? I want an ACP Array Gun that fires like a shotgun, or be able to charge up my Bowcaster.

No, at least not yet. I dunno about this, but I think that special firing modes would need 1 weapon type slot each, and we are using the maximum number already.

Note: To make it gameplaywise like a shotgun, the ACP Array gun was given bad accuracy and very good damage.
