Description

In v5, there are two new ammo types: Armor-Piercing (AP) and Jacketed Soft Point (JSP) ammunition.

Armor-Piercing rounds are much better at penetration, including through walls, doors, and other surfaces. They are also much better at dealing with armored targets than FMJ. As a result, they are worse at dealing with unarmored targets than FMJ and they are much, much more likely to ricochet. It's best used for maps where you expect all of the targets to be armored.

Jacketed Soft Point ammunition (JSP) serves as the midpoint between JHP and FMJ ammunition. It has the capability to punch through armor while expanding in flesh. Unlike JHP however, it can still ricochet on surfaces and is subject to hitting things behind your target. It's best used for maps where some of the targets are armored and some aren't, or when you aren't sure.

The Colt Accurized Rifle gains AP ammunition. The M249 SAW and the TEC-DC9 gain no additional ammo types.
