I've show the Salvage Yards before, but I'm giving more info about it. While the Rebels and the Empire have TradePorts, the Droid have Salvage Yards. Used for gathering scrap from across the galaxy, Salvage ships bring the scrap to these structures, where they are melted down into materials for constructing new starships and droids.
The Salvage ships(Providence Destroyers)are there for show. When you see these in space battles the debris really does show up with the model. They are the space junk models that are attached by Hardpoints. Both the ships and the yards have the same Salvage Effect that Consortium had when attacking enemy planets. So any time these are present in battle, you gain credits for destroying enemy ships.
Besides Salvage ships, the Droid Empire also has Scavenger Droids for land battles.
