Playable Black Sun - WIP image - Rise of the Droid Empire mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Same mod, different name, The Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance, the Black Sun Pirates, and the Droid Empire, fight for control of the galaxy.
I decided to try it and I got it to work. This is currently a work in progress, which is why they don't have a lot of heroes or units yet. Black Sun will use Corruption like the Consortium, but less annoying. Bribery will be removed as doesn't work the way it should. There will only be three planets that can be corrupted with Corrupt Militia, Dathomir, Kessel, and Nal Hutta, which will cost a LOT to corrupt. And Defilers will be removed. Also removing corruption will be cheaper.
If you want an idea of what Black Sun will look like, you can look here. This is a different version of Black Sun that I made by replacing the Consortium with Black Sun. The difference is they are a 4th faction in Super Star Wars.

Finally, I've been waiting a long time for this!
Though I would suggest using a different star base model in the future. (Unless you wanted to give them a special, weaker starbase to make them unique)
They use the old rebel star base, the asteroid one is a glitch that I didn't notice until after I uploaded the image.
