Star Wars Rise of Hope is a mod that will be based on the early Empire and its fall against the Rebel Alliance and its following sucessor the New Republic.

"The Dauntless-Class Heavy Cruiser was the second largest cruiser that saw service with the Rebel Alliance fleet during the course of the Galactic Civil War. The class featured a formidable array of weapons, heavy plating, and strong shields. It also featured an excellent sensor package and countermeasures system."
The Dauntless will be a Tech 2 or 3 Capital ship for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Dauntless Heavy Cruisers will have heavy armor and shielding, though not as heavy as Mon Calamari Cruisers. The Dauntless carries a compliment of 3 fighter squadrons and 2 bomber squadrons (what exactly these fighters and bombers are changes depending on tech level). What really sets the Dauntless apart from other Capital Ships is the inclusion of Point Defense laser cannons to defend from enemy missiles and torpedoes. While heavily armed, it is nowhere near heavily armed enough to single-handedly challenge an Imperial Star Destroyer.

Wow most mods use brown as the base texture for this ship but this looks so good.
I was going with a brown color first, but to be completely honest... it looked like a space turd so I inspired on TR´s Dauntless and in this other ship:

Nice job on the model! So the MC80 cruisers will last longer against an ISD than a Dauntless?
Yeah. Unlike a Dauntless, an MC80 has power to shields which can be used to potentially tank the damage of multiple star destroyers.
So, 1 on 1, an MC80 is capable of beating an ISD? The rebels will need that firepower badly.
Maybe. I haven't actually tried it yet. Fighters will play a big part in who wins. Also it depends on the MC80. A Wingless might fair better/worse than a Liberty.

Love the texture job on this model.
As a suggestion, they apparently have a very advanced sensor suite, so a small-range sensor jamming could be a useful ability to provide a tactical edge once moncals are out.
