It is still a clone wars era ship though, so its not as good as the other Imperial caps in a slugfest without fighters or abilities. Basically you want its fighters to knock the shields off a target and then use the SPHA-T beam to kill it. If the enemy doesn't die you might be in trouble. :p

True, The Empire favored size and guns. By the way I ran into your youtube account, I dig the Sins playthroughs.

Description

A follow up to the last set of images, the Venator is seen in combat using its SPHA-T beam on a Victory-I. While generally less well armed than other Imperial capitalships (without counting fighter squads at least), the SPHA-T allows the Venator to do heavy damage to foes who judge her only on her weapon DPS. It is especially powerful against targets without their shields, as it will do 50% more damage to them, allowing it to get surprisingly quick kills as we saw in Episode III.

The Venator's other abilities include a passive to increase the number of fighter squads it can carry, making it perhaps the most efficient TIE Fighter carrier the Empire has. It can also boost your fleets range, accuracy and defense by using its unique double bridge to help coordinate other ships actions. The Imperial version has a unique ultimate ability, Fighter Swarm, that instantly regenerates the Venators fighter squadrons and spawns extra fighter squads to fight for a time.
