Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. A quick break from the Star Destroyers, now a look at one of the smaller units in Interregnum, and one not currently in a released Sins Star Wars mod. The Empire's Corvette unit, the Skipray Blastboat, is shown with a TIE Fighter and the TEC fighter and Corvette to show the scale. Right on the boundary between a starfighter and a light starship, the Skipray's combination of speed, multiple weapon systems (lasers, missiles and ion cannons) and hyperdrive capability makes it a perfect analog for Sins Corvettes. While they are somewhat smaller than Sins Corvettes (and thus more fragile but cheaper), all of the Skipray's weapons face forward, giving it better focus fire capability that allows groups of them to quickly inflict substantial damage to unprotected ships.

The Cardassian Ambassador to the Empire is a welcome visitor on this mod page, though I'm afraid any talk of an alliance is premature. :p
