Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Republic Venator cruisers Resolution, Corsucant Sky and Guarlara meeting a sympathetic Rebel heavy cruiser force to discuss an alliance to reform the Galactic Republic and deal with the Imperial traitors. The meeting ultimately was successful. The first strike reclaimed Mon Calamari and captured the KDY owned research center of Gindine, giving the Republic access to new ships designed by the Empire such as the Strike cruiser and Interdictor 418.

The MC80 Liberty have a shield ability that extends to all friendly ships, giving them better regeneration.

I was playing with a buddy so i could bring up the story I had in mind.
If you play the game in DEV mode you can Spawn a Venator for the Rebels too.
