Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
Ah its that time of year again. The weather is getting colder, there's an ambient background of festive music, and modders are more generous than ever. Think I'm talking about Christmas? The New Year? Hanukkah? Of course not! It's mod of the year time here on Moddb, and I'm here to try and bribe you for your vote like any good sleazy politician would. ;-)
So here's the deal. It has occurred to me I've not uploaded any screenshots of battles between the Rebels and the Empire. To rectify that situation, I'll be uploading a new screenshot every day for the remaining 7 days of the Mod of the Year nomination phase, as a sort of Advent Calender of "Pew Pew". Between them, those with sharp eyes will probably be able to figure out most of the Rebel fleet roster.
But it gets even better. To give you an incentive to support this mod beyond merely voting for it, I'll do the following depending on what place the mod gets in the final Mod of the Year rankings.
1. If Interregnum gets into the top 100, I will release a full faction report for the Rebel Alliance, including every unit they have and their most important unique traits.
2. If Interregnum reaches the top 5, I will add any Star Wars character the community desires (via nominations and a poll in the forums) into the mod as a bonus hero unit, provided the character is still alive after Episode VI and hasn't been killed off in Interregnum lore (I suspect Luke Skywalker or Admiral Dalaa will be among the most popular).
3. If Interregnum wins Mod of the Year, I will add the Super Star Destroyer Eclipse to the mod in the next update.
So if you like what you see or what I've promised, please vote for Interregnum for Mod of the Year! And maybe get your friends to as well. :p
Good luck to the rebel's that's a super star destroyer and they only have 4 capitals to the empire's 3 and one titan.
They have bit more than that actually. That might be easier to see in further screenshots... and a little special surprise I'll put up on the last day. :p
Besides, if thats Home one in the center, that means that they're evenly matched in terms of capitals and titans
Is there a way to increase the spawn rate of the kuat drive yards and artifacts?
You can change the spawn rate of artifacts on any map by opening it in Notepad (all maps for Interregnum are in the E4X Galaxy folder). Near the top there is a line that controls the spawn rate. Set it to 1.0 and pretty much every planet will get an artifact.
Kuat is a little different. You'll have to make a custom map with the Interregnum Galaxy Forge or the in game map design to guarantee it will appear.

Ah this is going to be amazing!! :D cant wait to play as the rebels, doesn't feel right only having the empire in my matches!
