Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.

I don't know anything about the canonicity but that is a sweet station.

The station is canon, we just do not know if it was a unique design or what sort of armament it had. Starwars.wikia.com

Ew. **** rigging that thing. I was working on that one for SoGE a long while back and the a-symmetry for the firing arcs just made me want to cry.

Yeah, I'm sure getting the six sides of it rigged into Sins' 4 firing arcs was not fun. Good job on managing to do that. :-)

Some of them look good anyways. I'm not showing you the ones that need some more work (the EaW stations mostly). ;-) Also a few minor planet structures will just be retextured Vanilla models, but they serve their purpose and actually look Star Wars enough.

do you plan to add the zann consortium to the mix?

Interesting question. Personally I was not a big fan of EaW. Forces of Corruption was a fun expansion however I think it should have been non-canon, some of the Zann tech did not really fit into the Star Wars universe and Tiber made a ton of major Star Wars characters look like idiots. As it is I try to put EaW only ships like the Tartan and Broadside cruiser in support roles.

That said, some of the Zann Consortium's units will appear as militia and Mandalorian Mercenary (what will eventually replace the mod's pirates) units. I am toying with adding a sort of hybrid Mandalorian faction that would have quite a few of their ships (Keldabe Battleships, Crusader Corvette, Aggressor Destroyer etc.), but that will only be attempted once everything else is finished if there is room.

Nice Advanced Wars avatar by the way.

you know, for all of the things that FoC did wrong, it did at least one good thing, it did add the Keldabe battleship, at least i think it did... and though it's kinda weird, and ugly, i have always had a soft spot in my cold little heart for that ship.

It was a good, very Mandalorian looking design IMO, so I think they nailed it. Much better than the Aggressor IMO, if for no other reason than those giant balls of plasma looked ridiculous and out of place.

i thought the aggressor was just plain dumb, and the whole "a scrapped imperial design" back-story to it was stupid as well. the thing does not look, or act like an imperial ship, IMHO.

though i must agree that the keldabe fits it's background, after all it is a mando ship, and it is based off of an even older mando ship. the thing isn't meant to be pretty either. its meant to get the damn job done. and as such, it fits the bill quite well, lots of guns, lots of shielding, lots of armour. it does what its meant to, no frills, and lets you get on with your business as per usual.

Huh, I didn't even remember the Aggressor was an Imperial Design, though I guess that is why it is called a "Star Destroyer". Well I just won't mention that fact at all when it gets added to the mod, in Interregnum it's a Mandalorian Siege Capitalship. :p

Yup, I knew it was based off the older Mandalorian designs, which is why I liked it so much. Rest assured it will be a competent ship in game, and you'll be able to get them yourself if you can conquer the Mandalorian base. Of course that will be much harder than defeating the regular Sins pirates, so that might not be as easy as it sounds. ;-)

Nice, sounds awesome; in fact i didn't know you could have ships unlocked when you capture certain things! I love that this ship is getting some attention! sadly, my favorite ships don't get that much, 'cause apparently they are not as well known as most... which is true...

Description

Here is a screenshot of the Empire's Starbase, the Jovan Station, in orbit around a Hydrocarbon planet. While originally designed as a supply and staging base rather than a combat platform like the Golan series stations, the Jovan's sheer size provides plenty of space to install weapon batteries, from turbolasers and missiles to antifighter quad lasers. Its abilities still focus on fleet support rather than combat however. It can call for free reinforcements from nearby Imperial ships and rapidly heal an entire battlegroup in its radius. The station is also an invaluable asset to Planetary Governors, with its ability to act as an emergency headquarters during a siege or revolt and as a symbol of the strength of Imperial rule, which can translate into more tax collection and cheaper planet development costs.

Unfortunately we do not know if this station was a standardized design or unique to the Jovan system, however historically it proved its worth as the base of operations for the blockade of the Yavin system following the destruction of the first Death Star.
