Little bit of nitpicking here on my part, but wasn't the Vengeance equipped with mass drivers?

Yes, but outside of the Zahn Consortium, they are almost never used. Forces of Corruption had an odd obsession with giving the Consortium weird technology that seemed more at home in other Sci-fi properties than Star Wars. As a result we've been reworking the Consortium ships we've added to fit a bit in a bit better with the rest of the Star Wars universe.

I had more thoughts over Mass Driver tech in Star Wars. During the time of the Zann's use they would be incredibly outdated and mean Zann should be slow to mobilize their forces and means they are no good in long drawn out battles.

Ships that fire actual ammunition actually need places to store the said ammo on ships and places to re-supply even if there is an entire criminal underground working for you, you still need the facilities to supply forces in mass. Now compare that to the conventional energy weapons of the time that don't need resupply that is a severe disadvantage, since that means Imperial and Rebel forces have much more flexibility than your own. The mass drivers only saving grace was the fact they aren't effected by ray shields... but even the countermeasure for such weapon is simple just add more armour. A fan theory could be that the Tector class Star Destroyer was created from this.

Think of all that wasted space on the ships that fire mass drivers they could of added more facilities to improve their ships performance. Due to ammo restraints too to get roughly the same performance as the conventional star destroyers and star cruisers a mass driver type battleship would have to be at least be twice the size of a star destroyer just to accommodate more ammo for longer battles and to have the same facilities as said star destroyer.

Mass Driver tech could be implemented effectively as a secondary weapon. It would be easy to take out fighters with a hail of slugs that go strait through their shields.

Similar idea to the Rebels Cluster bombs really. But that hasn't really been done in the lore.

I would like to point out that the turret atop the AT-TE was, in fact, a mass driver. There is a subtle difference between slugthrowers and mass drivers from what I understand.

Interesting. It seems the AT-TE is the only thing in all of the new canon that has a Mass Driver oddly enough.

Description

When the Mandalorian Raiders began testing the borders of the major Galactic powers in the time after the Great Interregnum, they were surprised by the size and strength of defenses being deployed. Strong points, such as Starbases, were only assailable by committing Capital Ships, and the supply of Keldabe Battleships and refit Venator Cruisers available to the Raiders was limited. It quickly became evident to Mandalorian tacticians that they needed a smaller, more expendable vessel capable of mounting attacks on defensive installations.

The engineers at MandalMotors began to design a vessel that met these specifications. Using special prototype turbolaser technology that may have been acquired from a criminal syndicate, construction began on an adaptation that would fulfill the role of an assault cruiser. The four powerful, long-range turbolasers gave the new design impressive firepower, and the vessel's armor was enhanced to Mandalorian engineering standards. Before long, MandalMotors had completed a respectable production run of Vengeance-Class ships, and they began to appear in Mandalorian Raiding parties shortly after.

---

The Vengeance will serve in Mandalorian fleets as an Anti-Structure cruiser, an addition badly needed by the Raiders to counter static defenses such as Starbases and turrets. The Vengeance will be added to the base Interregnum mod (in smaller numbers), as well as to the Beskar minimod.
