Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Perhaps the most recognizable of the many variants of MC80 Star Cruisers, the Liberty Type is among the best warships in the Alliance Fleet. After early experiments with the base MC80 and MC80A designs, Mon Calamari shipbuilders were ready for a more ambitious overhaul with the Liberty. They succeeded beyond all expectations. More than any other Mon Calamari Cruiser before or since, the Liberty embodies both the artistry of Mon Calamari ship design and highly effective, pragmatic engineering.
With its greater than average size and distinct wing design, the Liberty has plenty of surface area for weapon batteries and shield generator pods, making it an ideal battleship and tank for the Rebel Fleet. The Liberty can passively boost allied ship's shield restore rates, stop enemy abilities with powerful ion cannons, and force enemy units to attack the Liberty instead of other allies. It's ultimate ability, Endurance, provides a massive immediate boost to shield strength, which can also be used on the Liberty itself while tanking enemy damage.
With its powerful weapons and shields, the Liberty is the Alliance's best unit to take on an Imperial Star Destroyers in direct combat. This is especially fitting because in Alpha 3, both the Star Destroyers and the Liberty's models were made by the same person. As the first large Alliance ship made by Maxleof, I think this is a promising sign for future Alliance model updates to come.
In addition to being a normal capitalship, the Liberty serves as the Alliance's flagship when the Flagship Victory Mode is enabled.
This is the Rebel's flagship huh? Looks more like a huge bullseye for my turbolaser crews.

Would like to see comparison in size to an isd and it fighting said ship.
The Liberty is shorter than the ISD, averaging about 1.2km, I think its wider than an ISD, thanks to the wings.
Like a lot of early Mon Cal ships, this could vary heavily, because in canon, no two were exactly alike, some reaching 1.5km (an ISD is 1.6km).
