Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.

"**** your Unity!" -Grand Admiral Thrawn
"Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake, Ensign? Anyone can make an error, Ensign. But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it." -Grand Admiral Thrawn
"You served too long under Lord Vader, Captain. I Have no qualms about accepting a useful idea merely because it wasn't my own. My position and ego are not at stake here." -Grand Admiral Thrawn

I think you get my point.

Agreed, they are in Star Wars verse, TEC should have turbolasers now, Vasari and Advent should have better hull armor.

The Three sins faction should also have new ships classes/variants too.

I hope that Vasari at least see some durability increase, in my experience they seem to be on the bottom rung of the ladder by a long ways. They just melt in the face of everyone.

The VIR or the VCC? I've found the VCC to be quite powerful - and I play them quite a lot against the higher tier AIs.

Actually competitively the Vasari were extremely overpowered for most of Sins Rebellion. Only the last few patches made them somewhat even for the other factions. However, it is worth noting that the AI doesn't really use a lot of their biggest bonuses, and that their frigates are fairly weak compared to other faction until you research their abilities/phase missiles.

I've had about every faction in the mod called overpowered and or underpowered by this point. I hope that means I've done a good job actually balancing them and the difference in perception is simply due to different playstyles/understandings of said factions. :p

Some of them already have actually. :p Play the HTS, TEC, Ascended Advent or VIR and you might notice some new things exclusive to Interregnum, based on the mod's lore.

Description

Our master telepaths have filled the recently victorious Rebel leaders with unfounded feelings of superiority. And now we have sprung our grand plan against them, trapping their main fleet at a planet of our choosing. To our great surprise, and against the predictions of our scryers, their main flagship has opted to sacrifice itself in a futile rear guard action, thus allowing the bulk of their fleet to escape. It is all futile though. All will join the unity.
