Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
With both the Imperial Star Destroyer and Liberty Type Mon Calamari Cruiser getting new models (yeah the old Liberty model was never publicly released, but still), some of you wondered how the ships compare to each other. This should give you a nice size reference, as well as give you an idea of how these iconic ships look in a brawl.
Alpha 3 is rapidly nearing completion. The last major problem has fortunately been fixed, so no we're just smoothing out the features, fixing a bunch of minor things that have been complained about, and improving the AI a bit. Oh, and making a fair amount of icons still, how long it takes to finish up the photoshop work will probably determine when Alpha 3 gets released.
Also keep your eyes out on YouTube for some more let's plays in the near future on various channels.
AWWWSOMEEEE. I ask for a a liberty vs a isd and you really do deliver goa thanks. Also that's an awesome screenshot.
Who won in this battle?
It didn't get to be finished. The Imperials brought in a Bellator Dreadnaught as reinforcements and the Rebels wisely decided to leave. :p
Depends on if it's an ISD I or ISD II... if it's an ISD I I would say it's an even fight, but an ISD II would have my bet.
If you look at the other screenshots, you can tell its an ISD-II from the streamlined communication tower and octuple, rather than double, heavy turrets.
In that case, the Ion lasers upgrade will tear that Liberty to shreds.
I'm aware of the differences, just couldn't see as well on my phone.
