Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
A few people have asked about how the Star Wars ships will be scaled to the Sins ships. So I've decided to show you! From biggest to smallest, there is an Executor Star Dreadnaught, Ragnarov Titan, an Imperial Star Destroyer, a Victory-II Star Destroyer, a Kol Battleship, an Interdictor Cruiser, a Kodiak Heavy Cruiser, a Carrack Cruiser, and a Cobalt Light Frigate all together.
Basically I've assumed the average Sins capitalships to be about 1km in length, slight bigger than the Empire's Victory class Star Destroyer. All capitalships and smaller ships have thus been scaled from the Victory class.
The only exception to this was the Executor Super Star Destroyer, which I decided should not be much more than twice as long as the Ragnarov, else it might have trouble navigating gravity wells. While it was too big at the current canon size of 19km, as late as the mid 2000s the official length of the Executor was 12.8km (in fact I have one of the last sourcebooks to use this number). At 8 times as long as an Imperial Star Destroyer, it seems to be the perfect size for this mod, so I've decided Interregnum will use the 12.8km length. Other ships near the size of the Executor like the New Republic's Viscount Star Defender will have a similar size reduction.
woah
size matters
Just to state the order is a little wrong, the Kol Battleship is slightly bigger than the Victory-II Star Destroyer, i'm amazed at the size of the Executor though haha, second biggest Titan ever made for sins within mods.
Opps, yeah, the Kol is slightly longer. My mistake.
And yes, though I'm not sure what the largest titan is (A worldship?), I think this screenshot makes it clear why its full size isn't practical.
The largest titan belongs to the new Star Trek Armada 3 mod, and it is the Borg Progenitor Class Titan, it's Graviton Torpedo's are the size of a Kodiak Heavy Cruiser too.

as for the scale of the SSD, i'm pretty sure the scale is nearly correct compared to the Episode VI SSD.
And how big is that in universe? I know the SSD is much bigger than the typical Borg Cube (or whatever thy show on the comparison charts). And technically the Yuuzhan Vong worldship would be the biggest titan from any Star Wars mod (though it might not be shown to scale in SoGE), so if you're right the Executor would be the third largest.
It's a shame there is no way of properly comparing, i'd be curious, from personal experience from playing the mod, the Borg Cube is a quarter of the size of Earth (planet you start with)
Well, that is not really a reliable way of measuring ships. Planets and ships seem to be on a totally different scale in Vanilla Sins anyways. In absolute terms the SSD in this screenshot is bigger than the one in SoGE compared to the planets, but Lavo doesn't have to worry about the Vanilla races so he made all the ships smaller so he could have the Executor properly sized. So compared to the other Star Wars ships his Executor is actually bigger. Mods may also change the size of the planets themselves, making that even more confusing.
In universe comparisons is really all you can do, like this chart has done. This lists an assimilation cube at 3km, so maybe you can work out how big the titan is by comparing it to that. St-minutiae.com
That's right. the scale of the ships to planets in sins isn't a fair reflection on what their actual size is. STA3 has ignored planetary size and gone for an aesthetic that sees ships are correctly (or at least close to correct) scaled to one another while still maintaining the detail of the vessels (hence their relative size to the planets). We did experiment with planetary size changes and gravity well changes, and it's something you may see in the future if we can get it working as we wish. the Super star destroyer is certainly longer than a Borg vessel by a long shot. I'm not sure about total volume however.
By God, I can't wait to use that monster to crush the Empires enemies..
I hope the ISD will kick *** ! My fav. !
