Is it possible to leave these as plaintext in the next version? Converting them back and forth is very painful. I would very much appreciate but understand if you cant. Thanks!

The mod loads faster and performs better when the files are in binary format. That is why both us and Stardock convert them to binary for releases, as 99% of users don't look at the files.

The official Sins of a Solar Empire wiki has some bat files you can setup to automate the conversion process.

I can get either to work now, the gui or the batch files. Neither converts them. I used to the the Sinsdataconverter but for some reason it wont work now, tried it on m computer and a vm. So weird.

Did you copy over the latest version of the ConvertData.exe file after the 1.98 update?

The only link I can find links to a Sins mod here, Sins of a Fallen Angel? Do you have a link? I am still not sure why the gui one stopped working tbh. Its what I was using for a long time.

I can only fine the 2016 one

Ah, figured it out :) Atleast the batch files lol

So, FYI, if you install Sins in a different directory then nothing works on the converters. I had it installed on a second SSD.
