X-mas Present #18: Marauder-class medium carrier image - Earth at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
hi everybody and welcome to Earth at war. This mod this mod is based of a massive war between the intergalactic empire, the Earth alliance and the Black hole pirates. The music is already done right now and we're now doing the modelling and the coding, however, we still need a rigger and a skinner and an additional modeller or coder would be welcome too.
Medium carrier used by the Intergalactic empire. Lightly shielded and armed but heavily armored. When you research it it carries TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers but you can upgrade the fighter complements. Arms: 20 quad laser canons, 15 medium laser canons, 10 Turbolaser batteries. Complement: (LVL1): 10 TIE Fighter squadrons, 10 TIE Bomber squadrons. (LVL2) : 10 TIE Interceptors, 10 TIE Lancets. (LVL3) : 10 TIE Phantoms, 10 TIE Defenders. (LVL4): 10 TIE Droids, 10 TIE Avengers. (LVL5) : 10 Assault gunboats, 10 missileboats.
Carrier?? Looks more like some sort of drop ship. Also looking over the armaments I think your somewhat off the bat on this one. For starters carriers are just that. They aren't built for heavy combat. Same thing with the fact that a battleship isn't capable fo carrying large amounts of fighters. Carriers are also notoriously larger than most other kinds of ship. If you give this thing the size it would need to have all those armaments and carry as many squadrons as it does then it would be massive and its engines would be incredibly large (this is given by the size of the engine exaust.
Megavin. I suggest looking at this a bit more realistically and looking at such things as modern day navy. The role you've given this one is more in line with something such as a heavy cruiser, but the ship model still looks more like a drop ship.
I really wish you would remove the star wars element as its just nothing more than an addon to the original game.
