Star Wars: Way of the Jedi, will be a two part mod, for single player Jedi Academy. (with possibly a few bonus maps for multiplayer) It will contain many new levels, and will bring back JKA's Tier based mission selection system, this time with even more choices, as well as the upgradeable force powers and weapon selection. The main character will be Alex Jarrons a relatively new student at the Jedi academy, who will travel throughout the galaxy. Eventually, you will have to come to a decision and choose; between your friends and ultimate power.

Hey guys!

I know it might seem a little early to be asking this about the second half of the mod when I haven't even half finished the first half, but I need to get your opinions early, seeming as I'm working on both at the same time.

I need to know if people like the tier system where they choose their levels or if they like it linear (like in jk2).

At this stage I'm thinking of reducing the amount of tier levels and putting in more compulsory, linear levels, as the tier levels can often feel seperate from the story line as you can skip them, and are often a lot shorter than you would like. In this way the story will become more developed, and draw out in a better way.

Making the story more linear could help to add more to the story, and keep the feel of the mod ongoing, rather than stopping and starting.

I'm not sure if this is what the majority of people feel, so have your say on the matter, that's why I added this forum page!!!

Thanks!
Ajcrow.

Well, if lineal gameplay is better for the story, lineal will have to be!! After all, in Star Wars a good story is well received =) so, i think that way you will be able to make better FMVs and make a good event's order ^^

Thanks for the feedback Ascro. I'll consider that in the creation of the mod. If you could spread the word about this forum, that would be great, as no one else seems to know about this page!
