A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... This is how the most famous space opera begins. With this mod we want to bring the Star Wars universe to the upcoming CryEngine 3. You will be able to play the whole saga from the movies when this is finished, but until then it is a lot of work... Mainly this will be a single player mod, but we will probably add multiplayer as well. We want to use most of the new features of the CryEngine 3 as procedual destruction, deferred lightning and so on as good as possible. Furthermore we want to create a couple of new features like a sabersystem, the force and much more...

looks good, just needs to touch up a bit, prob smoothen out the edges and show the sand damage on the structure?

needs a bump and specular map or diffuse, it looks slightly artificial, but otherwise very nice mapping

I used normal mapping, I created these with sketchup so I had some problems with uvw mapping (take a look on the other pictures)...
Maybe I really should use BumpMapping so I can set up the amount, but this would be less detailed, I have to think of this ;-)
I will try to refine this
Furthermore I will have to create some custom decals, but at the moment I am working on my first selfmade breakable objects

Nice work so far.

I just have one piece of advice for future work. When you model the buildings add a small bevel (or chamfer, whatever you want to call it) to the edges. It'll kill the razor sharp look which the edges have and help 'ground' the models in the scene.

Thank you for the advice, I will try this ;-)

Here are some selfmade MosEisley buildings rendered in CE2 (this is not MosEisley, it is just an example...)
