Hello all,
Welcome to another news post for STL: The Aftermath. So far downloads are going good, Stage 1 has been well received by all; getting a 9/10 over at Mod DB, a 9.6/10 over at Legacy Files. Stage 1 has just been submitted to the File Front library archives so even more downloads will come.
Onto the news now. We have an exiting opportunity for the entire community. STL: The Aftermath will be holding a map making competition to run through out the development of Stage 2. There will be 5 community maps picked from all entrants that will become featured maps in Stage 2.
Maps will be judged on creativity, use of the Legacy engine, playability, originality and fun rating. The community can submit any type of maps they want and more than one entry per person is allowed.
The competition is open now to all. The only requirements are if you use ships from another mod, please include odf files relating to that ship and the name of the author so I can get permissions to use their work.
Maps can be submitted directly to the specially designed area up on File Front. The submission requirements are:
-the map file
-a read me file that has your name, email address and a description of the map
-a 2nd read me that will have a list of all objects you used (only for those that used a ship not currently in the STL: The Aftermath. Needed for permission purposes).
The File Front account to submit your maps to:
Username: stltamapcontest
Password: aftermath
This account is only to be used for submitting maps for the contest and nothing else. Once the contest is over, the account will be cancelled.
Regards
Tjoz
