Very interesting! On the feature of uncovering how Stalkers have met their inevitable fate, I think it would be much more atmospheric if you tried to tell their last moments through the environment. Like say, there are 3 dead stalkers in a building, along with a dead/alive controller outside. Two of the stalkers have bullet holes in them, the last one does not. Of course still giving them a PDA with details of their last moments would work.
We're doing our best with decals at the moment, though they tend to show up much better on flat surfaces than on corpses. PDAs let us be a bit more explicit about what killed whom, though I agree it can stretch belief a little that everyone decided to compose a PDA message before they passed away.
