Return to the Zone in S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Wormwood, a high-difficulty survival-oriented realism modification for GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat. Wormwood builds upon the core Stalker experience, enriching the latest in the cult game series with brand new survival mechanics, intense and realistic gunplay, new missions, levels, fleshed-out building interiors and much, much more.
During Phase 1 of MOTY 2014, we'll be releasing new media every other day! Make sure you vote and spread the word!
The CHN-3h is one of the new helmets we’re adding, generally paired with (as the name suggests) the CHN-3 armoured suit. Clear Sky equipment is generally of excellent quality, so much so that most mechanics won’t be able to upgrade it without a copy of the blueprints of the original design. That’s all part of a mission chain we’re working on, but for now we've let Cardan perform all the upgrades just to simplify testing.
Will we get Radiation Suits too? You know, the armor part of the exosuit seen so often on everyone but yourself. And the exosuit headgear as separate piece to use with other suits? Will we be able to use every piece of gear the NPCs use?
Yes, radsuits are in. So is the Exo helmet. As far as I know, everything they use, you can too.
How about anomalies? Id love to see the removed anomalies brought back. Such as the lift, a pretty harmless anomaly. Or the rusty hair, wich can destroy your equipment in contact. And the fog too, would make SEVA suits needed in some areas.
This is excellent! Awesome stuff about the blueprints, I'm guessing that will replace toolkits? Will there also be corresponding third-person models for the helmets?
The existing toolkits are still going to be sticking around, but we're changing how they work somewhat. Early game equipment (leather jackets, simple gas masks, etc), will be fully upgradable with the basic tools, while more advanced gear will require more complex tools.
Blueprints are a bit more special - rather than having two of each generic type scattered around the game world, they correspond to specific factions (CS and Monolith), and are generally obtained by completing certain missions.
Wow. I thought you guys did come up with better ideas to keep players entertained other than the silly old tools treasure hunt.
Nice!
