So its been... 5 months-ish? since the last update I figure its probably time I let you all know whats going on.
Singularity continues to push forward, many bugs have been squashed and more optimisations have been put in place, texture work is more or less complete at this point just some crossing of "T's" and dotting the "I's" as it were. Singularity has also been ported to X-Ray build 1.0007 which means many new bells and whistle graphical settings which you can expect to see some tech demos of coming soon, Singularity is also now compatible with Steam versions as well as physical retail copies of SoC now and doesn't have any issues that have been encountered thus far when testing 1.0006 compatibility, and new tasks and features have been put in place such as if you stay in irradiated areas too long standard armour types will begin to deteriorate, Ecologist suits on the other hand, can withstand these areas. Weapons also now have a small amount of inertia while moving, soft particles and soft water edges have been implemented, etc.
A new public build isn't too far off now and is something we all hope to get released for mid-late December, we are just working through what we can and seeing what state things are in come December. In a nutshell you can say the initial foundation is almost finished, from there you can expect to see total level overhauls and adding of additional levels.
Singularity will be the Stalker we deserve, not what we got.
Ket, this is great news and I am looking forward to the release day. Thanks for your hard work very much appreciated my friend.
Hello Ket.Can i ask what you mean by:"expect to see total level overhauls and adding of additional levels"?Is that april of 2016 news article still in effect? And if yes, does any related story come with those new levels?I have high hopes for your mod.Thank you for your hard work and keep it up.
Things have changed since 2016 but mostly what can be found in that article still applies today. I'm extremely dilligent when it comes to bugs and getting things just right nothing will get released unless it is at least mostly bug free, we aren't EA, more like CDPR ;) We are going to be releasing Singularity in more of a progressive manner rather than dumping it in everyones laps when everything is finished that way you can all at least experience things a bit more regularly. Lubos (when I upload the next internal build) will be adding the first couple of many levels and the rest of the team will be debugging. Once we are done with that the build will be ready for a public release but don't consider it any more than an alpha/beta.
