The envisionment of SIN is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of the gutted retail release we were left with. SIN aims to cover every aspect imaginable from gameplay intended to genuinely scare the player, to graphics for the absolute best visual experience, cut mutants, absolute realism, optimisations, stability, and a complete game mechanics overhaul, all without breaking the story. The idea is to present the player with a complete retail experience for the purist that liked SoC but wished it was far more fleshed out. In no way what so ever does SIN try to be like old beta or alpha builds of SoC, SIN aims to enhance everything SoC already has and give it continuity with CS and CoP - nothing more, nothing less.

We escaped from the bloodsuckers, no injuries this time myself, d4v33edz, and meltac took them on with our knives while the rest of the team were hiding anywhere they could in that abandoned house.. their not hardcore like we are you see ;)

After that ordeal we found a path nobody remembers seeing so we decided to see where it took us, here is the latest intel we have on the areas it led to more will follow as we push forward.

Of course this video is just WIP there is many things still to be improved, including me putting the HD textures in (for some reason a lot of them appear to be missing..), better shaders, expanded story, etc. This will be the Stalker everyone always wanted, X-Ray is more than dated now but the best will be done to at least make it look significantly more up to date.

In terms of behind the scenes work there is much to be done still but none of it is anything that should cause too much of a problem so something, albeit it not being the finished article, should be ready for release soon. Lubos is busy fixing any problems we find in the levels, meltac is doing his shader wizardry, I'm finalising textures, normal maps, parallax maps etc before helping lubos with level stuff, the story writers are putting together some cool stuff and in general we are all working toward getting all these pieces fitted together sooner than what most of us probably think, I just need to finish the base build textures then things will really start to roll forward much quicker.

Can you make those sack barricades disappear? That makes it feel you have to pass there and exploration seem not dynamic. Anyway just an opinion.
