The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
More lore friendly and balanced NPC loadouts, and a slower player progress.
Are you tired of seeing Dutiers using only AK's and 9x18mm pistols? Are you tired of getting a high tier weapon in the first in-game hour? This addon tries to change that.
This addon tries to make the player progress much slower while making the NPC's loadouts more lore-friendly and realistic at the same time. The NPC's have a diferent weapon distribution depending on their ranks, faction lore.
This addon makes the accesories (silencers, sights, grenade launchers) kinda rare in the NPC's, removes completely 7.62x57 weapons (few people use them anyways), makes some weapons more common (RPG, PKM, P90, FAMAS, AN-94, Fort-500, SVU, SVD and others ones I can't remember XD), adds some weapons to the NPC's loadouts, like the HK-417 or the Duty Colt 1911, also, a lot of good weapons are extremely rare now (AK-12, HK-416, AEK-971, SCAR's, FAL, etc).
Here is the list of the loadouts:
The Army:
The low rank soldiers can have some submachine guns like MP5 or Skorpions, some can use light machine guns, some of them use snipers like SVD's or SVU's, and now they carry some 9x19mm and .45 ACP pistols, especially the high ranked soldiers.
Bandits/Renegades:
The most of them use old/bad weapons in general (AK-74u, Kiparis, MP-133, Mosin, SKS, etc), only the renegades/bandits with higher ranks have some NATO mid tier rifles, like G3, M16A2 or LR300.
Clear Sky:
The Clear Sky members with low rank (below professional) use cheap equipment in general, AK rifles, Skorpions, MP5's, etc, but the members with high rank could use some modern equipment, the high ranked members can even use Scar's or FN F2000's.
Duty:
Duty have a good arsenal in general, the low ranks have the worst weapons, like Mosins, SKS's, or AK-74u, Toz-66, etc, but the Duty soldiers who have a rank above experienced have modern weaponry, like AK-100 series, also, even some of them can have Galils, G3 and Fal, and now use some 9x19mm and .45 ACP pistols.
Freedom:
This faction now is not extremely well equipted, the most of the low ranked Freedomers use AK-74's and AKM's, some of them have SVD's and SVU's, and now use more the mid tier western weapons, like L85's, LR300, and M16A2.
Ecologists:
There is not too many diferences with the vanilla loadouts, they just have less old/bad weaponry, also, the most of the weapons they have are automatic.
Sin:
They have a more diverse arsenal, their members are still being well equiped, but their low ranked members now have worse weapons.
UNISG:
They have an extremely diverse arsenal, but the most of the rare and good weapons are reserved to the most experienced members, also, the low ranked operators use AK-74 variants now.
Note: The most of the UNISG operators use silenced weapons.
Mercenaries:
Very similar to the UNISG arsenal, but the mercenaries uses almost every AK type existing in the mod, also the low ranked mercs have much worse weapons than before. The most of the merc's sidearms are 9x19m and .45 ACP pistols.
Monolith:
The rookie Monolith fighters know use much less NATO weapons, their equipment is still being good, but now are not extremely well equipted (especially in low ranks), also, the faction in general now uses a lot of snipers and light machine guns.
Loners:
The loners use the most cheap weapons existing in the mod, they use a lot of AK's, submachine guns and shotguns, only the most experienced stalkers have modern weapons, like the M14 or M4A1.
Zombified Stalkers:
All of them use old/cheap/low tier weapons, pistols, AK's, M16's, SKS's, Toz-34, etc.
I wasted like 4 months doing this addon, I had to play the whole trilogy again, I had to testing this in the field, I wasted a lot of time checking the scripts triying to fix the errors, ajusting things, etc, recopiling information about the weapons, and recopiling a lot of info about the facctions. So I hope this doesn't have too many errors I missed, but I'm almost sure this have errors:
Clear Sky and Sin factions members were a bit hard to find to me, same with the high ranked stalkers, due it's intrinsic rare sight nature, so probably theres weapons that doesn't fit with the faction/NPC model/rank, or maybe even crashes.
Anyways, I hope you like the addon c: and please report any errors, crashes, weapons you think that don't fit with the faction/model, etc.
Updates:
1.1: Removed all the AK-100 carabines and various submachine guns from the most high rank loadouts (it's extremely weird/funny to see a Monolith fighter in a Nosorog using a MP5 or a UMP-45)

I assume it works, but all the new guns that B&S have will not spawn with the new npc's.
You could have spawned the rare sightings by yourself and checked the logs. Dayum

I love the idea of the add-on, but I'm not sure Army grunts with MP-5s and Skorpions is all that lore-accurate. AK-74s and and 74Us are their standard issue rifles and carbines, respectively, after all. I guess it's one of the changes made for the sake of balance?

doesn't really make sense for Duty to have west/NATO weaponry, i thought they were AK centric like the Army (sure in a Stalker 2 video they showed a Duty guy wielding a MP5 or "Viper 5"), but yeah Freedom is supposed to be that west/NATO centric (while Mercs are the hybrid between east/Warsaw Pact and west/NATO in gear)

This mod includes npc_loadouts.ltx, npc_loadouts__squad.ltx, npc_loadouts__visual.ltx files that are 100% identical to vanilla Anomaly. It is safe to delete them.
