The Renaissance Pike and Shot submod for SSHIP (Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project)
This submod for SSHIP (itself a submod of Stainless Steel for M2TW) provides new textures, skins, and unit officers for late-period pike-and-shot era units of the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Although the colors and military standards used are not entirely historically accurate, this can be enhanced with further submods and releases. The new material is taken entirely from The Italian Wars mod for M2TW.
Furthermore, although changes have been made to the export_descr_unit file, the mod should be entirely save-game compatible with your current SSHIP campaign!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Download the "SSHIP Renaissance Pike and Shot Submod" .rar file
2) Locate and open the .rar file on your computer with 7zip, WinRar, or any other software program allowing you to unzip files
3) Direct the file to the "SS6.3" folder, which should be placed within the "mods" folder of your main "Medieval II Total War" folder.
4) It should ask you to overwrite files. Simply click yes. If it did not ask you to overwrite files, that means you did something wrong!
5) Enjoy the newly-skinned units and officers!

Does anyone know if any Byzantine late units change?

im 100% sure this broke the mod for me. reinstalled 2 times just to see if it was corrupted but apparently it makes the mod crash on launch screen. was working fine until I overwrote the files in data.
Update this page because this mod will not work anymore for people. Its not cooperating with SSHIP anymore iv tried 5 times. This sucks because it ruins the whole SS.3 file and then we have to install the mod all over again regardless it stops SS from working in general. They updated the SSHIP so you need to fix this or remove it because this mod was good when it did work but now it doesn't work. if it did for you explain or put some more detailed instructions please.

Does it work properly?
it does not it breaks the data folder. I also suggest not getting the patches for SSHIP as they break the data folder as well. Just play the SS.64 vanilla and use SSHIP main data folder and you should be able to play but the pike and shot submod is broken.
Hey. It says in the installation that this is for 6.3 of Stainless Steel. Is this a typo or is it not updated for 6.4?
