Spherical Nightmares is a Half-Life 2: Episode Two single-player modification. The story takes place in the Half-Life universe and you take the role as Gordon Freeman. Your journey begins in an unknown location.

It's time for another update, finally! I am back on the development of Spherical Nightmares, this time with some very good news. I have set the release date to December 2009.

I know the development of this modification has been longer than it should and I am not proud of that. It has been too large of a project to develop alone, at least for a first single player project. The development has been a roller coaster ride. Many mistakes made, halting the progression, like changing direction, removing entire levels and using different workflows. But I have learned a lot making all these mistakes.

I have kept a lot of you in the dark about what is going on behind the scenes. I realize how bad this is looking back at the many months that I have been here at Mod DB. Even though the progression of the modification is slow or even backwards, people still want to know. I want to know. Just by looking
how Valve is handling their next Half-Life release, Episode 3, I notice how frustrating it is to have little to no information.

So anyway, I will better myself. There WILL be updates more often from now on. And even if December release doesn’t happen I won’t disappear. You will know why and be informed. So let’s do this.

Take care and see you soon.

Sweet, I would hate to see this mod die.

It's been a rough ride, but the modification is starting to see the light in the end of the tunnel and coming closer to a release. :)
