Individual Space Marines are way too weak in this game. A Space Marine in DOW 1 has less HP than a Missionary and priests!

In short this mod:

- Halves the squad size, and Doubles the health, weapon damage and cost, reinforce time of most Space Marine infantry.Individual space marines will be much tougher and feel like super soldiers without breaking the game balance.

- Heavy Weapons (including upgrade slots) are completely unchanged, only default weapons have their damage increased.

- Sergeants have their health increased by 400 and cost increased by 50 req, their weapon damage are unchanged, and longer reinforce time

-Morale damage and moral penalty have been adjusted accordingly

- Scouts and apothecaries are completely unchanged. I also did not change the health regen rate, because I am unsure how that will affect balance.

So a tactical marine squad will now start with 2 men, with a squad max size of 4 + sarge.

Campaigns:
Soulstorm campaign works with no issue, I'm pretty sure this will work with Dark Crusade. This mod also works the campaign mod so you can play the WA and Vanilla stories with the changes, to play this with the campaign mod simply merge the SpaceMarineElite mod folder with the Campaign Mod folder. You can also do this with the stronghold mod (I have tried it)

Balance:

Overall, heavy weapon squads will lose some firepower when compared to their normal version.

Smaller squads makes path finding a bit easier.

It's debatable if this mod makes the overall faction stronger

Chaos Space Marines?

I will be making a version that changes the CSM as well.

All the units affected:

Chaos Space Marine Squad, Aspiring Champion, Korne Bezerkers, Possessed Marines, Obliterators, Raptors, Space Marine Squad, Assault Marines, Sergeants, Terminators, Assault Terminators, Grey Knights. Simply Extract into your game directory, if you want to play with other mods, just drag the contents of the SpaceMarineElite folder into whatever mod you want to run with. Obliterators have their squad reduced to 3 Max, HP, firepower and cost increased by 60%.

this mod is fairly interesting , makes it easier to navigate units due to smaller squad size and the defeault bolter is quite strong ( i think between the flamer or plasma gun it still is a viable choice as it now should deal more damage then the flamer and should be more accurate on the move then the plasma gun ) with all upgrades space marines can put out serious damage, in dark crusade they can only carry 4 heavy weapons due to max squad size being 4 ( + sergant and leader ) the sergant is straith up stronger of course ( and more expensive ) while he wasnt buffed in damage he is a close combat specialist and can be equiped with a power fist and a plasma pistol when max upgraded making his damage anyway very strong

Interesting mod!

I have a suggestion - if possible you should mod the sound fx of the Bolters and Heavy Bolters as well. The bolters sound in DoW1 are probably more boring than lasgun's sounds.

Is that intentional that the heroes (like the Force Commander or the Chaplain) don't receive the buff in health and damage ? Otherwise, that's a fun mod (gonna restart the vanilla campaign soon)

If you want to run the vanilla campaign, you will need to use the Campaign mod, as far as I know this mod won't work without soulstorm. I did play through the vanilla campaign by merging the campaign mod and this one.

Hey... Greetings again and just came to ask a question...In the Instructions about the installing of this mod, it says that it can work with other mods and that all we have to do is to drag the SpaceMarineElite file into whatever mod folder we want to run this mod with. I dragged the file into the Black Templar mod...But is not working for me. What can I do?? and will this work on the new Enhance mod??? Thanks.

Can't get this to work with Strongholds....squad size is still normal size when generated from CB.....I thought the missions were scripted for Strongholds.????

It works with Strongholds, any squad that starts at larger squad sizes will stay that way until members are killed. So you can get some pretty powerful starting squads.
