Somewhere Unknown is a small game made in my free time, some dumb game barely glued together.
A liminal space game, made to recreate the feeling of walking a dark street in the middle of the night.
Requires:
Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer (if you wish to play it with hl2 change 243730 to 220 in gameinfo.txt)
CPU: 1.5 GHz
RAM: 4 GB (maybe less it's what my pc has and the game runs fine)
GPU: literally any that can process frames
Hard Drive Space: 60 MB
FAQs
1. Map doesn't have shadows or any lighting. [FIXED]
mat_fullbright is on by default for some reason, open the console and type mat_fullbright 0 when loading into a map.
2. Texture and shadow filtering is off by default.
It's by artistic choice, you can enable them back in cfg/autoexec.cfg.

UPDATE: Due to hard drive failure, the project is delayed, the mod files are intact, but the Source SDK and tools I use (Hammer++) are on my external hard drive which is failing, it would be extremely unsafe to continue the mod right now because of risk of bad sectors or total data corruption. I hope you understand.
UPDATE 2: Due to my inability to obtain a new hard drive, I continued using my failing drive like an idiot, good thing is, it doesn't have too many errors like files being deleted, only an annoying "trash bin is destroyed" popup, a demo for the game is available right now that is fully working (if it wasnt for the music not working and mat_fullbright being on by default).
UPDATE 3: I have managed to get it working in Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, the game will be developed in it from now, it fixes mat_fullbright, crashes, and fire smoke.

its pretty ok
if you wanna fix the mat_fullbright 1 problem, you should use the source 2013 sdk base singleplayer/multiplayer (depends on what you wanna use)
but if you dont wanna do that you can just use a trigger/logic_auto to make it so when you spawn, it triggers the mat_fullbright 0 command.
I tried to use source sdk base 2013 singleplayer before, but it wouldn't work, I have zero experience in making a source mod, and I couldnt find anywhere how to make a game in it, I dont have much hard drive space (around 500 mb in C: drive) and I can't use visual studio code so im using prebuilt binaries (right now I'm using the binaries from the stanley parable)
