The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.

if you're referring to the round glow on the lower part, that's part of the blast-wave, hard to capture on a screenshot ;)

Just a thought, any type of explosion emits a huge amount of light affecting a huge radius that spreads very far. The radius I believe would turn night into day depending on distance viewed which is why scientists viewed the atomic explosion tests with special sun glasses. Nice WIP so far though, would like to see the end product later, hope my thought helps the outcome to your mininuke.

I think Spartan did a good job of that with his RPG-X Rocket Launcher in the Spartan 11:11 Clear Sky mod. I mean, it looks like the fourth of July, but it's really impressive to see especially at night. After a few seconds the blinding light fizzles into blackness. Very memorable.

Well, its a good effect but it doesn't suit the game...

Why would a nuclear explosion not fit into a heavily irradiated area that was created by a nuclear explosion in the first place?

Chernobyl wasn't a nuclear explosion. It was a massive steam explosion that started the fire that would spread the radiation across Europe.

"nuclear" explosion probably wasn't the right choice of words scientifically, still, it's an explosion that spreads radiation, so the outcome is pretty similar. (and i still don't see why it wouldn't fit the game)

Could this be an optional weapon please? I really don't like it in the Stalker universe.

what this needs to do in order to be awesome is lighten up the place, even at the cost of many fps, because an explosion of that size leaving the darkness dark is - at least for me personally - an atmosphere killer
