The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.

This gets discussed a lot, I must admit I was a bit surprised when the topic first came up since the vanilla maps are not geographically correct either, for example, Pripyat is northwest of the NPP, not southeast. The idea behind this is that the player works his way up the map from bottom all the way to the top.
I had to decide whether I wanted a geographically correct PDA map, or have the levelchangers in places where they make sense based on the actual level design, so i chose the latter.

Dead City is located above Yantar on this map. Aver and Predbannik might be cut maps from SHOC(I don't necessarily know), and I believe the little forest is from Clear Sky.

Oh yea I fully understand that! Someone a long time ago stated that the zone was like a giant pie, with the generators and the NPP in the center. It gets confusing with this many areas in! Maybe "old Pripyat" could be a part of dead city, Jupiter and Zaton should be right next to the NPP. Also what's the "little forest" area?

Most levels will be reachable via regular level changers (and guides as well), but i might make some of them guide only so that you have to do certain missions and advance in the game before being able to get there. Others will be heavily irradiated so that you could in theory get there early on, but need to find a protective suit first to survive.

Ahh, this is the way it always should have been. I'm curious though, was cordon cut off the map? Based on the way you decided to have things set up I imagine it would be below jupiter and zaton, which are currently on the very bottom.

I'm getting all giddy just thinking of all the zones to play through and "toys" to play through them with!

no, of course not. The map is too large to fit on one screen, you have to scroll to see all of it, so the image above consists of several screenshots stitched together.
