The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.

it does hold 20 rounds by default and although it currently can still be upgraded to hold 30 rounds(due to vanilla upgrade system), I thought about removing that possibility for balancing reasons. Also to my knowledge the original M16 couldn't fit bigger mags (could be wrong though)

I'm pretty sure that you can have the 30rounder STANAG mags in the original M16A1 too.

Yes you can. The US military introduced the 30 round STANAG mags because:
a) To be on par with the capacity of the combloc AK-47 and AKM rifles.
b) Because the 20 rounders were faulty, soldiers normally loaded them with 18 rounds to prevent jams or misfeeds. Giving the fast fire rate of the M16's full auto mode, you empty the weapon in a blink, this translates in reloading more often. With the M16a2, they replaced the full auto mode with a 3 rounds burst, to force the soldier to preserve ammo.

An old M16 and M16a1 can use any modernd maganzine, including hi-capacity ones like the hundred rounds Beta C-Mag.

M16, any 5.56mm AR, and anything that uses STANAG has 20 round, 30 round, and 40 round magazine options and there is a 100 round C-MAG too.

Belt fed, huh? That's some crazy **** :P
However the model has the short mag, and it doesn't look like it would fit more than 20 rounds.

Just persistent enough should be nice imo. I like how it works currently in that they get back up once unless you put them down and put in a few slugs to make sure they stay down. Maybe some could get up again? Or simply have a random timer rather than a predictable one?

The only current problem with civi zombies is they stay red on crosshairs when on the floor so you know they aren't dead.

we seek for realism so crosshair or grenade/hit indicator should be optional only for those who are new to this kind of gameplay, no ?

the first model of m16 and its called ArmaLite Ar-15 has by default 25 rounds mag and then folowed the M16 then M16A1 and M16A2 has 30 rounds mag.
The M16A2 with 30 rounds mag can be upgraded with a bayonet but that would be some crazy **** if in the game u can do the same :P
