SMOD is a single player mod of Valve's first-person shooter Half-Life 2. The new content consists of many new NPCs and weapons, new gamemodes, comprehensive customization and tweaking options, new abilities for the player, and new features to the gameplay, such as level randomization and simple branching in the otherwise linear flow of the main episodes.
This is one of the best ways to replay Half-Life 2 if you get bored of the old weapons and game mechanics.

Greatest hl2 mod ever
This mod is basically a tool set with example of how to modify the game in many different way so you can really shape the game the way you want, and modding is a really fun part aside from actually playing it. Seeing the pieces you made coming together is Absolutely perfect!
Over the last 15 years, Half-Life 2 has become my most played video game because of SMOD and its branches. The replayability is off the charts, the gunplay is fantastic, the weapons in abundance, the new enemy encounters challenging. It's fantastic.
I'm a fan of this mod, it really deserves your attention!

Very cool
A mod that brings out good old memories and nostalgia, and also a good way to replay Half-Life 2 if you're bored of playing the same game all over of the same way. Unfortunately the mod is broken as hell and needs urgent patching because some maps are unplayable because they bring CTDs on loading screens.
